In January 2009, Union launched our campus wide recycling program. For over a year now we have been recycling paper, plastics, aluminum cans and cardboard. Thank you so much for your incredible support and participation in this program! We are excited about continued development and growth in this area as we work to educate and encourage our campus about the importance and benefits of recycling. Please use this page to help answer some of the most frequently asked questions about recycling at Union or browse for information about our progress and ways that you can get involved. If you have further questions or ideas, do not hesitate to contact Kimberly Thornbury, Ph.D. Vice President for Student Services and Dean of Students at kthornbu@uu.edu or 731.661.5090. Meanwhile, I hope to catch you “green handed!”
Warmly,

Union University takes caring for God's creation through environmental stewardship seriously. We strive to equip students with the knowledge of good stewardship practices through our on-campus recycling program. We believe, however, that positive solutions to creation care are not simply programmatic. Therefore we are working towards an inter-dependent structure that focuses on program and participant, shaping students that are committed to lifelong habits of good stewardship.
