These camps consist of 10 weeks during the summer with a different theme each week. This ministry provides quality, affordable childcare for working parents and single parents who choose to have their children spend the summer with us. We are very intentional about sharing the gospel with our campers.

Recreational Leader for summer 2012 should meet the following expectations:
-Have a heart for sharing the Gospel with children between Kindergarten and 6th grade -Work well with a team and with autonomy -Be punctual and exhibit a strong work ethic -Attend Kinds Kamp staff training (Dates TBA) -Plan and set up daily recreational rotation -Teach recreation games to counselors in morning meetings -Supervise and serve as time keeper for the recreation rotation -Assist counselors where needed to keep games moving -Assist Arts and Crafts leader with set up and supervision of arts and crafts as needed -Delegate tasks such as water cooler and cup prep -Supervise a group of campers if needed -Assist directors or Kids Kamp staff with administrative or clerical responsibilities as needed -Assist directly with planning, set up, and implementation of Family Night -Teach or assist with track times if needed (track times are specific activities that allow children some choices in how their day is spent) -Participate in opening and closing rallies each day including cheers, chants, songs, games, and silliness -Attend morning meeting and afternoon meeting each day of camp -Participate in the early and late shift rotation as assigned -Handle discipline issues with children and note in discipline log as needed -Handle minor first-aid issues -Supervise bathrooms and locker rooms as activities require -Supervise small groups of campers for swim time -Model Christ-like behavior for volunteer counselors and campers -Model enthusiastic, energetic attitude for volunteer counselors and campers -Be prepared to de-brief games and activities with a small group of counselors U-nderstand the demands of a camp ministry that extend beyond a 40 hour week -Assist with planning and leading staff training -Must be available weekdays beginning May 23 to August 10, 2012 -Previous experience in a children’s camp setting is preferred
