Purpose: The purpose of the "Ignite!" program is to Inspire Girls with New Information Taught Enthusiastically. That means, we seek to expose girls to a variety of subjects in hopes that at least one will spark a girl's interest, and that interest will stay with her throughout her lifetime, helping her on her path to becoming a successful and productive young woman.

Duties and Responsibilities: Volunteers agree to host a one-time event (though there can be more than one event if the volunteer wishes) on a certain subject for which girls can earn a badge or receive a patch. Badge/patch opportunities are virtually limitless, and subject areas cover topics to fit every interest! College students are encouraged to participate as volunteers for this program, in hopes that it will be fun and beneficial for them to practice the skills of their academic majors or hobbies while teaching those skills to Girl Scouts.

Orientation and Training: Volunteers will be supported by a Girl Scout staff member throughout the entire process of creating and implementing a workshop.
