The Lambda Zeta Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha received its charter at Union University on December 5, 1964. Lambda Chi Alpha is known as the “Fraternity of Honest Friendship” and is dedicated to understanding and to living the ideal of true brotherhood: before one can be a true brother, one must be a friend. Testimonials

"In my fraternity we start meeting witth the normal role call, but then after that our chaplain gets up and asks if there is anyone that needs prayer. After people say what has been troubling them or their family we huddle together and pray. This is not an empty time of saying the same prayer over and over again, but a true picture of the brotherly love we share. It is a blessing to know that sixty guys are all praying for me at once whenever I need them to pray for me."

"Within the past four years, I have experienced challenging and life changing experiences. Through those challenging times, I have had my brothers in Lambda Chi Alpha to help pray and encourage me along the way. One time in specific in my early college career, my family and I were going through a troubling time. With my hand trembling and my voice shaky, I raised my hand and began to share of my family's struggle. All 72 brothers in the room at the time became silent and showed me respect as I was sharing. After the several minute confession, I was asked to come to the front of the room and all 72 brothers gathered around me and prayed for me specifically as they were laying hands upon me.That was a monumental and life impacting action of love they showed towards me that Sunday night at meeting."
