Chi OmegaThe Upsilon Chapter was originally founded in 1904. Since that time, Chi Omega has had a tradition of leadership on campus.Chi Omega has a rich history dating back to its founding at the University of Arkansas on April 5, 1895. Born in the late 19th century, Chi Omega’s four women founders grew to adulthood as a rapidly expanding economy fostered industrialization and urbanization. And they were instilled with the spirit of America, with values of independence, innovation, and adventure. They could not have known how influential their lives would be.
"Greek life at Union is much different than the stereotyped sororities at many other universities. Chi Omega provides an outlet for women to come and make friends, have fun, and participate in the many activities that we plan. These activities foster friendships through community service, social events, intermurals, campus activities and sisterhood gatherings. Chi Omega embodies a group of girls that genuinly care about each other and what is going on in each other's lives. Through this nurturing of friendships, the body of Christ is shown, and these friendships serve to foster a growing relationship with Christ."
