Freshman and Transfer Mentor Program (FTMP)

Using the coaches' discretion, in-coming student athletes at Union University will attend study enhancement sessions daily for their first semester of residency. Each week student-athletes are scheduled to devote allocated time, Monday-Thursday, at study enhancement sessions or peer tutoring as well as meet with a counselor or advisor, test proctor, and/or a career coach as necessary. These hours are recorded on a monthly log and signed by supervisors of the respective areas.

After the first semester, student athletes who have earned below a 2.5 GPA will be required to continue study enhancement sessions. During the remainder of each student-athletes' collegiate career, if a student fails to maintain a 2.5 or better, s/he will be rescheduled for sessions to develop study and time management skills.
