Employer Services & Resources
Employers, we invite you to consider Union students and alumni for employment and
internship possibilities. Union University has been recognized nationally for providing
a quality liberal arts education and our graduates demonstrate this. In the 2009 edition of
"America's Best Colleges," U.S. News and World Report ranks Union
University in the top tier of Universities - Master's among Southern
schools.
We offer recruiters the following services:
-
Access to Online Résumés of Potential Candidates
We have implemented our New Online Résumé Database which will allow
you to review potential candidates online! Contact us for a
company-unique password which will allow you to do keyword searches
and category searches on Union University students and alumni.
- Jobs Posted
We will be pleased to post your organization's job vacancies for our
students. You may phone, fax, mail, or email your vacancies and we
will post these opportunities in our office or on the Internet. These
announcements are accessible to both current students and alumni.
- Career EXPOs
Recruit efficiently and effectively at the Teacher Expo which is held each April.
Schedule a recruiting visit to interview candidates you have
screened. We will work with you to develop a day or half-day schedule.
Please contact our office for available times.
- Employer Information
Send us your Internet address and printed information about your
company. We can inform our students of your career opportunities and
promote communication between our candidates and your organization.
- Internships
Internships are career-related work experiences that provide
students with opportunities to apply skills and knowledge acquired in
the classroom to 'real world' work situations. As an employer, you may
use internships as a means of recruiting new employees instead of the
normal application and interview process. Internships provide
employers opportunities to view the abilities of candidates in a
unique way. Often companies hire their interns for full-time positions
after graduation. Internships at Union University differ due to each
individual department's policies. They can be part-time, summer,
semester-based, or flexible lengths of time. Students can obtain
academic credit for internships. We invite you and your company to
participate by contacting the Career Services Office for more details.
- Career U
Career U is an academic approach to career planning and preparation.
Career U consists of a series of hands-on workshops aimed at converting
the average student into a savvy, successful career professional.

these workshops provide the first steps to obtaining that dream job you've
always wanted. Also Career U includes an exciting fashion show
(Dress for Success) and informative workshops on specific careers.
Dynamic presenters from around the region come to share their expertise and
career know-how. Career U is offered during the month of October annually.
