To this end, she stated, “Coming from an administrative position with the local school system, I fully understand the importance of having excellent teachers in schools. Having great teachers is critical to the success of our schools. Schools need teachers who will bring out the best in students and help them grow both academically and personally. As a principal, I realized that Union had high-quality students who were extremely prepared for the field of teaching. It was exciting to join the team of leaders in the School of Education as the Director of the Educator Preparation Program to continue the amazing work of ensuring our future teachers are ready for the classroom.”
