September 13, 2016 – Dr. Teri Evans has been named and is now serving as Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies in Education and Associate Professor of Education on Union University’s Germantown, TN campus. Evans is already well known to many on the Germantown campus, given her prior service as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Education.
Most recently, Dr. Evans served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Shelby County Schools. Her strong connections to the local district and understanding of regional educational needs will serve her well in her new role at Union.
In relation to being hired as one of Union’s newest faculty leaders in education, Evans states, “I am blessed for the opportunity to work at Union because of the shared beliefs and commitments to students to provide an excellent education in a Christ centered community. My soul cries out, ‘Hallelujah!’, for the people I have met, those that I work with daily, and all the guidance given me.”
