November 334, 2007 - Recent reports in the journals Science and Cell suggest an end to public furor over the destruction of human embryos in the quest for stem cells. According to a recent article in The Weekly Standard, scientists have discovered an effective means of reprogramming adult cells to the desired "pluripotent" state.
If the science turns out to be as promising as the initial reports indicate, it will constitute nothing short of a minor vindication of those who seek to promote the advancement of science through morally licit means.
". . . one giant leap for mankind."
