Phi Alpha Theta

President
Jordan Sellers is the president of the Delta-Psi chapter. A senior history major from Smyrna, Tennessee, she was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta in September 2015. In January 2016, she presented a paper at the Phi Alpha Theta biennial convention in Orlando, Florida, and she also did so at the Tennessee Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference that Union University hosted on April 2. She has been a very active member of the Delta-Psi chapter, participating in a multitude of its activities. In addition to Phi Alpha Theta, Sellers is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Pi Gamma Mu Social Science Honor Society, and the Honors Student Association. She has traveled in England and France, and she has a special interest in British and Irish history. In the fall of 2015, she did an internship in the Union University archives. She is currently working on a discipline-specific honors program in history.

Vice President
Kathryn Mitchell is the vice president of Delta-Psi. She is a senior psychology major and a history minor. A resident of Somerville, Tennessee, Mitchell attended the 2016 Phi Alpha Theta Biennial Convention in Orlando, Florida, where she delivered a paper on Tennessean grocer Clarence Saunders. She also presented her paper at the Tennessee Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference at Union in April. Initiated into the Delta-Psi chapter in September 2015, Mitchell has participated in numerous chapter activities. In addition to Phi Alpha Theta, Mitchell is a member of the Rutledge Honorary History Club, where she holds the office of president.

Secretary
Seth Reid serves as the secretary of Union's Delta-Psi chapter. A resident of Valrico, Florida, he was initiated into Phi Alpha Theta in February 2016. He has a major in history and a minor in marketing. In May 2016, he received the first place award in the Dr. James Alex Baggett History Research Paper Competition. In 2015-2016, he was the Sophomore Council Secretary in the Student Government Association, a participant at the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature, and a member of the Union Jaxx Ultimate Frisbee team. He is pursuing a discipline-specific honors program in history.
Senator
Elizabeth Adams is a Delta-Psi senator in Union's Student Government Association. A senior at Union, she joined Phi Alpha Theta in September 2015 and has been a very active member of the society ever since. Adams has a double major in history and English, but she also has special interests in economics and archaeology. She spent the summer of 2016 attending an archaeological field school on a Paleo Indian site in Oklahoma. She has also spent considerable time working in Union University's archives. Her favorite area of focus for history and literature is Victorian England. She lives in Glendale, Kentucky.
Senator
Emily Littleton represents the Delta-Psi chapter as a senator in Union's Student Government Association. She has a double major in history and journalism, and she regularly writes articles for The Jackson Sun. Inducted into Phi Alpha Theta in February 2015, she has been quite involved in chapter activities since then through her participation in plenary meetings, receptions, dinners, and community service projects.

Faculty Advisor
Dr. Stephen Carls is in his 34th year as the faculty advisor to the Delta-Psi chapter. He served as national president of Phi Alpha Theta from 2014 to 2016, and he currently holds the national office of Chair of the Advisory Board. He coordinated the 2016 Tennessee Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference that Union University hosted in April.
