Jackson, Tenn. - Over 75% of students who are seen in college
counseling centers suffer from stress-related problems. This is according
to Dr. Margaret Lillard, Director of Counseling Services at Union
University.
According to Lillard, college students today are subject to increasing pressures from many sources. "While students are being told that these should be the 'best years of their life', to many it seems that life is feeling more and more like a pressure cooker," said Lillard. Lillard offers these helpful tips to students for dealing with stressful situations:
Union University Counseling Services will offer a group presentation on stress management for students during the month of March. For more information on any of the counseling services offered to students and to the Jackson community, please contact Margaret Lillard at (901) 661-5322. |
