UNION PLAYERS TO PRESENT "ANTIGONE" MARCH 21-26

JACKSON, February 23--The Union University Players will present Sophocles' Antigone," March 21-26 in the University's W.D. Powell Theater.

'Antigone' is an example of the triumph of human will over insurmountable odds," according to David Burke, director of the Players.

An opening night gala is planned following the 8 p.m. performance on Thursday, March 21. The gala, featuring free food and fellowship, enables the audience to mingle with the play's cast and crew.

Other performances are scheduled for March 22, 23, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m., with a special 2:30 p.m. matinee scheduled for Sunday, March 24. Union's English faculty will lead discussions of the play following all performances.
