UNION UNIVERSITY TO HOST "IMPROVING WITH AGE" SENIOR ADULT CONFERENCE AUG. 5-7

JACKSON, March 4-- Improving With Age," Union University's first conference targeting adults ages 55 and above, will meet Aug. 5-7 to address important issues facing today's senior adult.

This conference is designed to meet the specific spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs of senior adults," Paul Williams, the event's coordinator, said. We've assembled a panel of outstanding personalities to address the needs of this growing segment of our population."

Co-sponsored by the family ministries department of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, the conference features Henry Blackaby, director of prayer and spiritual awakening for the Home Mission Board, and Warren Wiersbe, noted author and speaker, as leaders in daily Bible study. Nightly worship celebrations will feature evangelist Junior Hill and music coordinator James Pulliam.

Bob Norman, pastor of Clearview Baptist Church, Franklin, Tenn., will speak at an opening extravaganza banquet Monday, August 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the University's Coburn Dining Room.

Reservations for the conference will be accepted through July 15. Cost of the conference is $15, which includes all sessions plus the extravaganza banquet, or $35 including a full meal ticket. Lodging is available with special rates from area hotels, all within a mile of the Union campus.
