Jackson,
Tenn. - Kyle Rote Jr., former professional soccer player and now one of the
nation's premiere sports agents, will speak at the second luncheon of Union University's
inaugural Union Forum series. The event, scheduled for April 23 at noon, will be held in
the Coburn Dining Room of the university's Student Union Building. Known for his past success with the Houston Hurricanes, Rote is now the CEO of Athletic Resource Management, Inc., a Memphis-based sports agency that represents about 70 pro athletes, including NBA player Scottie Pippen and NFL Pro Bowl Star Reggie White.
Yale professor Stephen Carter spoke at the series' first luncheon last month. Carter addressed a crowd of 250 West Tennessee business leaders on his recent book, "The Culture of Disbelief." Individual tickets for the luncheon are $20 each. A table of six may be sponsored for $100.
