TOM ROSEBROUGH NAMED DEAN OF EDUCATION AND HUMAN STUDIES AT UNION UNIVERSITY

JACKSON, June 10-- Tom R. Rosebrough, dean of the Graduate School at Malone College in Canton, Ohio, has been named dean of Union University's School of Education and Human Studies.

Rosebrough will supervise the University's graduate and undergraduate programs in education, as well as undergraduate studies in psychology, sociology, and social work.

He is a person widely recognized as an evangelical educator of great ability, conviction and vision. We are excited about the direction and guidance he will bring to our School of Education and Human Studies."

Rosebrough joined Malone College in 1990 as director of Malone's graduate program in education, assuming responsibilities for all of the college's graduate studies in 1993. He initiated the college's master of business administration program in January 1996.

An accomplished speaker and author, he recently completed a term as chair of the Ohio Association of Private Colleges for Graduate Teacher Education.

Rosebrough holds a Ph.D. in early and middle childhood education from Ohio State University, where he also earned a bachelor of arts in history and a master of arts in elementary education.

Union University, located in Jackson, Tenn., is a four-year, liberal arts university affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Founded in 1823, the 2,000-student institution is the oldest university in the Southern Baptist Convention.
