JACKSON, October 21-- Union University faculty will share the latest developments in classroom technology with Jackson area teachers Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m. in Room 44 of the university's Blasingame Academic Complex.
Dr. Kyle Hathcox, professor of physics, and Mrs. Sandy Hathcox, instructor of education, will introduce recent advancements in technological learning tools, explaining their contributions to national standards and benchmarks in education. Featured topics include up-to-date information on mathematics and science standards, classroom-based technology, and an introduction to calculator-based laboratories.
"The workshop will provide teachers with an overview of the technological resources currently available to them," Dr. Hatchcox said. "Technology has become a growing emphasis in education, and we hope to make our local teachers aware of ways to utilize it."
