UNION UNIVERSITY SIFE TEAM INDUCTS 18 NEW MEMBERS

JACKSON, November 18-- Union University's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team, an elite organization which strives to promote a better understanding of the free enterprise system, recently inducted 20 new members.

New members were recommended by Union faculty and selected by returning SIFE members to participate in the 32-member team. Under the direction of a faculty advisor, the team develops and implements a variety of projects that advance the principles of free enterprise while helping local businesses and the community.

During SIFE's international competition last May, the Union team took third runner-up honors, Union's second consecutive top five finish, in a field of more than 300 schools worldwide.

"We are excited about the new members we have acquired this year," Bobby Walker, SIFE team leader, said. "We hope their motivation and new ideas will take us to the top this year."
