BSW students can gain practical, hands-on experience in an international setting during a full semester internship. BSW and MSW students can also complete international study abroad tours to Kenya, South Africa, and Nicaragua. These tours can be counted as elective courses providing students with an unforgettable cultural experience.
May, 2017 - Social Work Study Tour: Cape Town, South Africa
Cost: Tuition for 1 or 2 classes plus approximately $4,200.00 (includes: airfare, lodging, food and sightseeing expenses)
Date: After graduation in May, 2017 (dates TBA). There will also be required group meetings before and after the trip.
Class Credit: Up to 6 hours credit, two electives offered.
