About
Frank Anderson joined Union University’s School of Theology and Missions faculty in 2010.  Before that time, he served on the faculty of Crichton College (Memphis, TN) as dean of the School of Bible and Theology and as dean of the Chapel.  He also has served as president of the Memphis Center for Urban Theological Studies and as president of the Center for Urban Theological Studies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  His primary areas of study are practical theology (with particular emphasis on preaching and urban theology), Church history, and systematic theology.

Frank accepted God’s call to preach in 1979 and was ordained in 1980.  He has served as pastor of True Light Baptist Church (Memphis, Tennessee) since 1992, succeeding his father who served as pastor of the church for eighteen years.  Before his service in the pastorate at True Light, he served as pastor of True Liberty Baptist Church (Memphis, Tennessee) and as a ministry intern at Bellevue Baptist Church (Memphis, Tennessee).

Frank is a native Memphian and has been married to Vernetta (McCully) of Jackson, Tennessee since 1982.  In their spare time, they volunteer to help with projects that improve the welfare of the city, visit museums, and enjoy good dinners with great friends.
