Summer means open air theater in the quads of several ancient Oxford colleges. Experience Shakespeare in the evocative atmosphere of these storied walls and gardens with productions staged by the Oxford Shakespeare Company and Creation Theatre Company.

Oscar Wilde and other notable playwrights are brought to the stage again in the revivals of classic modern plays in different venues around Oxford in the summer. In addition to amateur productions in the colleges, the Oxford Playhouse, the Apollo Theatre, the Old Fire Station Theatre, and Pegasus Theatre stage productions of plays and musicals from the West End and Broadway.
