Kep (’49) and Jean Hicks Sorrell (’48) hosted an overnight outing to Pennyrile State Park in Kentucky last November. George E. Norvell (’71) was recently named “Educator of the Year” by the Brownsville-Haywood County Chamber of Commerce. He has taught English at Haywood High School in Brownsville, Tenn., for the past 29 years. George and his wife have one daughter, Melissa, a freshman at Union.
