Keystone Program
Keystone
Equipping students for successful completion of college involves empowering individuals with ongoing resources, skills and tools as they navigate through the academic community. The term keystone is defined as the wedge shaped piece at the crown of an arch that locks the other pieces together. Union University’s Keystone program is designed to serve as the wedge between a student’s current academic ability and a student’s ability to be successful in college moving toward graduation.

The purpose of Keystone is to support and facilitate the successful transition of conditionally admitted students into the learning community of the university. Our mission is to encompass and connect the academic achievement, personal strengths, values, goals, and faith for each student. To achieve this mission, the Office of Academic Support will assist in a seamless transition through deliberate and intentional programs outlined in an individualized Keystone Plan. Central to this plan is the development, defining, advising, and supporting of Keystone students through ongoing communications between parents, students, and the academic community.
