International Justice Mission: Walk to Remember
April 19, 2012: 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
IJM is partnering with Denis Bisangwa to host A Walk to Remember on April 19th from 5:00-6:30pm. A Walk to Remember is a series of activities created to unite the international community and empower people to take action against genocide and other mass atrocities. Also sharing the message of unity, reconciliation, and acceptance throughout the world.
We will all meet in Harvey Auditorium, then we will walk towards the Bell Tower, where we will have a short prayer for the remembrance of genocide and how easily it can happen again. A short walk around campus will take place after prayer. Then we will head back to Harvey Auditorium to watch As We Forgive, a movie that details the forgiveness process after the Rwandan genocide. After that we will have a Question and Answer session with Denis.
Come learn about what happened in Rwanda and also ask any questions you want.
