Six history students – two of whom were history majors – were awarded bachelor’s degrees at Union University’s fall graduation exercises on December 13, 2014. History majors Kenton Evans and Shelby Pace received Bachelor of Science degrees, while history minors Patrick Augustin, Cody Cunningham, Nathan Handley, and Matt Taylor earned the degree Bachelor of Arts. Kim Lunardelli, another history minor, participated in the commencement exercises as an expected January graduate. Handley and Pace, both members of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, wore honor cords from the society at the graduation. Dr. Bartholomew Orr, senior pastor at the Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi, gave the commencement address on “Decision of a Lifetime.” Union University granted degrees to 329 students at the ceremony.
