Title: Student Ministry Intern Position: Part Time Reports to: Senior Pastor The Student Ministry intern will be a spiritually mature believer that has a passion for students and teaching God’s Word. He will work with the Senior Pastor and our student ministry volunteers to accomplish goals and follow the vision of Grace Baptist. Responsibilities for Student ministry -Attend at least 1 of the 2 services and sit with students in worship. -Oversee discipleship for students in grades 6-12 -Communicate and plan events with adult volunteers -Lead Sunday School for students (9:40-10:15) and Wednesday night youth service (6:30-7:30) -Be willing to attend some plays, games, events where the students are. -Lead and take students to summer camp (if here during summer) Other Responsibilities -Willing to preach if needed -Assist/train with Senior Pastor day-to-day ministry duties throughout the week -Attend any staff meetings during internship and regularly meet with Senior Pastor -Regular time alone with God in the Word and prayer Qualifications/Education/Experience -Affirms Grace Baptist bylaws, vision, and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 -Has some experience working in student ministry -Some theological training/schooling preferred -Good communication skills -Well organized -Teachable Weekly Hours: Sunday 9:15-12, Monday – Thursday. 4 hours throughout the week agreed upon by the Senior Pastor and intern.
