Collegiate Music Educators Association

Music Educators National Conference is a student chapter of the primary professional society for elementary and secondary music teachers.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Advisor: Dr. Terry McRoberts

Founded: New England Conservatory in Boston, 1898

Open Motto: "Once a Sinfonian, Always a Sinfonian."

The primary purpose of this Fraternity shall be to encourage and actively promote the highest standards of creativity, performance, education, and research in music in America. Further purposes shall be to develop and encourage loyalty to the Alma Mater, to foster the mutual welfare and brotherhood of students of music, to develop the truest fraternal spirit among its members, and to instill in all people an awareness of music's important role in the enrichment of the human spirit.

Eligibility shall be open to all male students, faculty, and staff members, regardless of race, gender, disability, religion, or national origin in good standing with Union University.

Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society

Advisor: Dr. Betty Bedsole
Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society elects outstanding juniors and seniors to membership on the basis of musicianship and scholarship.

Sigma Alpha Iota

Advisor: Dianne Gatwood
Sigma Alpha Iota is an international professional music fraternity. Gamma Sigma Chapter is composed of women taking courses leading to a Bachelor of Music Degree or the Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major or minor in music. Women who have completed at least one credit hour of music classes at Union may also join. Membership is based on excellence in scholarship and musical ability.
