In the Academy Dialogue Groups
Purpose
- To engage Union faculty in dialogue on topics of interest;
- To encourage growth in knowledge, skills and attitudes;
- To enhance faculty confidence as teachers/scholars.
Process
- Interested faculty can choose a topic that interests them.
- The CFD will assist groups find times to meet.
- The CFD will provide a facilitator for each group and form interdisciplinary groups.
- The CFD will help find resources on the topics, copy the resources and distribute to group members.
- Group members will read resources when appropriate, attend and contribute to dialogue sessions.
- CFD Facilitator will help keep the group on topic and will provide a short (1-2 paragraph) summary of the discussions to all group members and CFD.
- The CFD will assist the groups in finding appropriate academic presentation venues for the results if appropriate.
