The seminar will prepare the interested potential or active writer with focus on the following: 1. Clarity--clear communication from the writer to the reader 2. Types of magazine articles 3. How to write a first-class query letter to an editor 4. How do deal with editor's rejection 5. How to cure "Writer's Block" 6. Getting started/why write? 7. Finding article ideas 8. The marketplace. What you should know about your reader. 9. The marketplace--both Christian and secular. What's there for you? 10. What rights should you sell? How to protect your work? 11. The value of photos in a query and/or article

Carolyn Tomlin, M.Ed., is a frequent speaker on teaching others to write and publish.
