As of February 1, 2004, Computing Services staff changes for 2003-2004 are complete. The most recent job/office changes are listed below and boldfaced. Responsibilities of other staff are provided on the back. As an employee having computer problems, you still call x3300 in Jackson or x126 in Germantown, though you may also use this sheet to help you know who is best suited to solve your problem.
Gywn Bell, Secretary, schedules labs and oversees the student helpdesk. She also provides secretarial support on the Datatel migration project.

Jonathan Teague, PC Lab/Resnet Coordinator and PC Support Specialist, provides primary technical support for all university PC labs, including our four large labs in Jackson, all departmental labs and research systems, and the labs in Germantown (with Tabitha Washburn's assistance). He is also responsible for coordinating technical support for students in the residence complexes.

Robin Navel, Technology Training Facilitator, is responsible for coordinating and performing one-on-one and group technology training. Major topics include Microsoft-Office/GroupWise/operating-system/network issues as well as online instruction.

Chris Johnson, Technology Support Manager, responds to employee support requests, working closely with the PC Support staff. He also helps coordinate technology purchases for the university, including leased equipment. Among other duties, he helps with network administration issues, including new employee accounts.

Michael Hale, PC Support Manager, oversees the day-to-day setup/repair/leasing of all university PCs, Macs, printers, software, and related issues.

Brad Seaton, Assistant Network Engineer, assists in the design, implementation, monitoring, and repair of all network components. He also provides systems administration and database administration services for the Datatel servers.

Curt Parish, Network Engineer, oversees the design, implementation, monitoring, and repair of all network components. He has additional responsibility for major library systems and helps support the Datatel servers.

Connie Magers, Systems Analyst, provides direction, programming services, and day-to-day support of selected modules of the administrative information system software. She works with both Datatel and HP3000 systems.

Mike Smith, Programmer Analyst, maintains administrative information systems including IRISLink and the ID-card-based systems. He works with both Datatel and HP3000 systems, providing systems administration and database administration services for the Datatel servers.

Karen McWherter, Associate Director of Computing Services, directs long-term planning and oversees the day-to-day issues associated with administrative computing, including the Datatel and HP3000 systems. She also assists in oversight, planning, and staffing of Computing Services.
