Chris Blair New software, hardware for HD Editing Suite by Chris Blair, Chair, Associate Professor & DMS Coordinator

Be sure to come by and check out the updated High Definition editing suite in Jennings 204. This last semester we have upgraded to Final Cut Studio 2, featuring Final Cut Pro 6, DVD Studio Pro 4, Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Compressor 3, and the new color correction app, Color. We also upgraded to Creative Suite 3 Design Premium, so you will benefit from Photoshop CS3's new video features, as well as the new Flash CS3 video encoder. Finally, we have added Maya Complete 2008 to the suite! We are excited about this addition to our complement of video and 3D animation tools, and we are thankful to Autodesk for their generous gift. All of this new software is powered on our MacPro with 2.66GHz quad core processors, 3GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage. And we have added an additional Panasonic HVX-200 DVCPro HD camera to allow you to capture, edit and output in High Definition. So come by and check it out.
