International Digital Media and Arts Association (iDMAa)
Union’s Digital Media Studies program is a founding member of iDMAa, an international association of digital media and digital art programs dedicated to excellence in advancing existing and developing digital fields. Union students have the opportunity to attend the iDMAa annual conference; this year’s conference is in Savannah, Georgia in November. Web Resource


Union Student Film Festival
Students interested in the art of creating films can submit their best work to the Annual Union Student Film Festival, held in the Spring of each year. Grand Prize and Students’ Choice award winners will receive cash prizes, and sponsors like Avid have provided prizes for the Grand Prize winners.


Digital Media Festival (DMF)
Each fall students can submit their digital work for judging in a variety of digital media categrories by a professional jury. Prizes are awarded for the top pieces.


DMS Student Trips
Digital Media Studies majors have taken trips to visit digital media professionals in Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis and Nashville.


DMS Internships
Union faculty help students connect with professionals in their fields through internships. Most Digital Media majors complete at least one internship.
