Upcoming Events
- Engineering Junior Caroline McConnell was awarded an Undergraduate Research Grant to conduct engineering research in Thermal Design Optimization under Dr. Georg Pingen's supervision. The project is being planned to be presented at the AIAA Multi-Disciplinary Analysis and Optimization Conference in the Fall 2012.
- Engineering Seniors are working on three capstone design projects (1) a trench cleaning robot sponsored by the Diamond Foods Company, (2) a non-grid cashew project to stream line the roasting, seasoning, and packaging process for use in third-world countries, and (3) a Human-powered vehicle for competition purposes. All these are being planned for April-May deliveries.

- Union Engineering students participated in the Union University Scholarship Symposium (UUSS) by presenting 12 different very interesting projects highlighting their theoretical and practical learning. - Dr. Schwindt and Dr. Pingen led a GO trip in March 2011 to North Africa. Senior engineering students conducted project in the area of renewable energy as it applies to community facilities there.
