Minors in Mathematics

Minor in Mathematics-21 hours

A.

MAT 211 and 212 are required, as is one course from the following list: MAT 205, MAT 207, MAT 208, MAT 213, CSC 115, CSC 255.

B.

 At least 6 credit hours of MAT upper-level work is required with no more than one departmental special study allowed and no independent study allowed.

C.

The remaining hours must be MAT courses numbered 205 or higher.


Minor in Mathematics with an Emphasis in Statistics
- 20 or 21 hours

A.

Required courses: MAT 211, MAT 212, MAT 208, MAT 305, and MAT 405.

B.

One of: MAT 213, MAT 314, MAT 315, CSC 115, CSC 255

Minor in Actuarial Science as earned with a Math Major-19 hours

Prerequisites ( applicable to other requirements): ACC 211, 212; ECF 211, 212, 320; ECF 411 or 412; MAT 208, 211; CSC 115 or 255. Note: In the BSBA core MAT 208 substitutes for MAT 114, and CSC 115 or 255 substitutes for 105.
