BIO 221 - Human Anatomy & Physiology, Part 1
Prerequisite: none; this course is not recommended for biology majors and does not count towards the biology minor.
Description: This course is part one of a two semester course that is designed to provide a broad overview of the human body, emphasizing basic anatomical structures and physiological processes. The lecture portion will emphasize examination of physiological processes while the laboratory portion emphasizes learning anatomical structures. This course is designed for students seeking a degree in allied health related fields (e.g., nursing, physician’s assistant). During Part 1 of this class we examine the cellular and tissue basis of anatomy and physiology of the human body, the integumentary system, the skeletal system, the muscular system, the cardiovascular system, and reproductive system.
