BIO 425 - Introduction to Research
Prerequisite: Junior standing in Biology; 20 hours toward a Biology major and a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Description: This course is the first course in a series (BIO 425, 426, and 427) designed to introduce students to the research process. Introduction to Research provides an introduction to the skills necessary to conduct scientific research, prepare a manuscript, and make a presentation at a scientific meeting. Each student will develop and submit a research proposal for approval and eventual implementation during the semester when BIO 426 is taken. Attendence of BIO 427 presentations is also required.
