Due to the overwhelming response to UU in Italy,
the final price for UU in Italy is $2765! That's $385 less than the original
quote of $3150! The savings will help offset the ridiculous fuel surcharges the
airlines are charging these days, which aren't included in this price.
(Currently fuel surcharges are running around $315).
One bit of bad news: apparently there's a $25 UU fee for administrative costs
for students going abroad. We'll just collect that in the fall.
Don't forget to check your email from time to time for updates, especially
regarding an informal gathering in the fall to get to know each other a little
before January.

Related Forms:
2. PASSENGER TERMS AND CONDITIONS. This is the very important "fine print" dealing with all legalities and cancellation information. Please review it carefully before filling out your registration form.
3. TRAVEL INSURANCE FORM. This insurance is optional. Basically, if you fear that a medical or personal reason might force you to cancel your trip at the last minute, travel insurance can compensate you for forfeited payments. Consult this form for premiums and covered reasons.
4. BROCHURE. This one is fun! Read in detail where we're going, what we'll see, and when we'll be there!
Union University in Italy is a study abroad opportunity
that will allow students to earn up to seven hours of course credit when
combined with a series of fall lectures. Course credit can be earned for
Art 210 and/or World Literature (English 201-202) and Walking for Fitness.
The study tour will last for about 12 days and will focus on Pompeii, Rome,
Florence, and Venice, with day trips to Pisa and Ravenna. Faculty
sponsors are Dr. Gavin Richardson, Associate Professor of English <<http://www.uu.edu/personal/grichard/>>
and Lee Benson, Professor of Art and Department Chair.
Highlights:
Pompeii, the well-preserved Roman town buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Rome (Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Coliseum, Roman Forum, Arch of Titus, Arch of Constantine, the Pantheon).
Florence (the Duomo domed by Brunelleschi, Giotto’s Tower, Baptistry of San Giovanni where Dante was baptized, its Gates of Paradise doors, San Miniato al Monte, & the Uffizi—possibly the finest art museum in the world.
Venice (the Grand Canal, the Piazza San Marco, the Basilica San Marco).
Ravenna
(fine Byzantine mosaics of San Vitale and San Apollinare, Dante’s Tomb).
It’s going to be a great trip!
