Henry Haifei Li

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Union University, Jackson, TN. I joined Union University on August 2004. My office is located on Union University Campus PAC C-48, UU Box 1916. You can call me Henry. My Chinese name is pronounced as Hi-Fay Lee.

While teaching at Union, I was granted two awards for Undergraduate Research Program for my research work. I was also granted two Professional Development Awards (2004-2005 and 2005-2006) from Union University.

I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 2001, my Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1998, from the University of Florida. Go Gators! I received my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China in 1990.

From 2003 to 2004, I was an assistant professor of Computer Science at Nyack College, Nyack, NY.

From 2001 to 2003, I was a post-doctoral researcher at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. In the summer of 2007, I returned back to IBM Research at Hawthorne, NY as an academic visitor to work on SOA research. My collaborators at IBM are Liang-Jie Zhang and Fausto Bernardini.

From 1996 to 2001, I was a graduate student at the University of Florida.

Before I came to US for graduate study in 1996, I was a software engineer (1990 to 1996).

My research areas are e-business, negotiation, application integration, web services, distance learning and scientific computing.
