Russ lives in Milan, Tenn. and is an sixth grader at University School of Jackson. He began playing baseball at age 8 and has been an all-star selection every year since the age of 9. In '93 he pitched for a team that finished the season with a 17-1 record. That year he won 11 including 2 complete games in the state tournament. Russ also enjoys football, basketball, and fishing.
