Union University is pleased to offer a graduate nursing education curriculum to prepare the professional nurse as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. The 15-month curriculum focuses on acute management, chronic management and health promotion of patients age 11 through adulthood.

Admission Criteria

  • Previously earned Master of Science in Nursing degree
  • Last 60 hours GPA 3.0
  • Cumulative science GPA (Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, statistics) of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
  • Union University School of Nursing application with $50 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
  • Three letters of professional/academic reference specifying the applicants capabilities for graduate study. One letter of reference must be from the applicant's immediate supervisor.
  • Proof of unencumbered RN license
  • Case study during the interview process

Required After Admission

  • Current immunizations status
  • CPR Health Care Provider Certification
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Clear urine drug screen

Disclosure Statement Regarding Gainful Employment for Post Master's Certificate: Adult Nurse Practitioner

On-time graduation: Our post master's certificate: Adult Nurse Practitioner is cohort based. There is no other option for curriculum completion. Therefore; all students will graduate at the end of the four semester program, typically in December of the year following their enrollment date.

Tuition and fees: Tuition for the post-master's certificate: Adult Nurse Practitioner is $460 per credit hour. The program is 34 credit hours for a total tuition cost of $15,640. Fees are approximately $200 for the program bringing the total cost of tuition and fees to approximately $15,840.

Books and supplies: The cost of books and supplies for the program is approximately $700.

Room and board: Students typically live off campus in their own homes.
