Unit Plan

 

The students will ga= in knowledge of how the state of Tennessee came into existence and the important people that were involved in making it possible. By learning about how frontiersmen founded the land, students can better understand other parts of history in which people took over land or discovered new land. Students will also gain a better understanding of how = the government system in Tennesse= e was established and how it is ran today. This knowledge will be important w= hen students begin to learn about our government on a higher level and how other countries choose to run their government. Students can gain a greater appreciation for their state.
