Activity 1:

You will create a business card for your new business.  The task will be completed in MS Publisher. Make sure that you include the following on your business card:

·         Name of Business

·         Business Logo

·         Address

·         Cell/Business/Fax Numbers

·         Website and/or Email

Activity 2: Please visit the following link to “Starting Cost Estimator” an online tutorial, http://www.bplans.com/common/calculators/startingcosts.cfm?affiliatet. The website will give you insight for budgets in general. Select the appropriate items for your business from the example provided. You will create Anticipated Start-Up Budget using Excel.   This activity will help you understand the necessary start-up costs involved in creating a business.

Activity 3:

You will create a flyer to promote your new business.  This can be completed in MS Word or Publisher.  Be sure to include the following:

·         Name of Business

·         Photos and/or Graphics

·         Type of Services

·         Client Area

You will create a PowerPoint Presentation about your business.  The PowerPoint will need to be a minimum of ten slides.  Be sure to include the following:

·         Name of Business

·         Business Logo

·         Type of Services

·         Client Area

·         Anticipated Budget

·         Photos and/or Graphics Animations

Activity 5:

You will create a brochure for your business.  This can be complete in MS Word or Publisher.  Be sure to include the following:

Activity 6:

You will complete the Introduction to DECA or FBLA activity (Career & Technical Student Organization) provided.  This will be completed in MS Word and the use of the Internet.

Activity 7:

You will complete the online activity “Visualize Your Future” located on the provided link.  Answer the questions about your dream in a Word document.  In addition the report should answer the following question:
