Scaffolding
Prior to the learning web, many activities have taken place in the library class time. I have created a display of the times of genre with books from the collections that had exceptional cover illustrations. There are posters displays around the library about the elements of fiction. During library class we have viewed a variety of VCR and DVD movies based on literature. Selections have been read a-loud with expressive vocabulary. Prior knowledge of the computer came from presentations given using the laptop and projector, note taking and tutorial. They have also viewed the web-sites previously on the projector and visited the web-sites on computers in the library.
