Chef Tony's Alphabet Soup

Duration of project: Two weeks (this web will be used throughout the year for reinforcement)

Materials Needed: Computer (at least one per classroom), computer must have access to Internet, Microsoft word and Microsoft PowerPoint, printer.

Objectives : 

The students will learn the skills to complete computer activities.
The students will identify upper and lower case letters of the alphabet.                          
The students will learn the sound of the alphabet.
The student  will apply alphabet knowledge to a given picture.
The student  will type their name and become familiar with some sight words.

 
                    Standards  
     

Chef Tony needs your help! He has lost his recipe for his world famous alphabet soup. Work through the following activities to help Chef Tony find the letters he needs to complete his soup.

Click on the chef hat to get started: Read and practice the letters and sounds of the alphabet.  

Click on the S to begin this activity Drag the correct upper and lowercase letter into the corresponding box.
 

 

 Click the O to start this activity. Place the missing letter inthe proper blank, by clicking the flower
above the letter. 		Click on the U to begin.Select
 the picture the given beginning sound.		 Click on the P to begin this activity. Choose a letter, then match the three pictures that has the beginning sound of the selected letter.

If you have successfully completed these activities continue to the final activity.

Assessment : All activities will be teacher directed, teacher monitor students as they complete activities the Learning Web. Teacher will evaluate student's response on the assessment.
