Description of Tasks
Week 1:
Students will complete scaffolding activities.
Students will create a letter to parents regarding our project requesting to collect recyclables from home and explaining our purpose.
Students will visit designated websites about recycling.
Week 2:
Students will bring in recyclables each day—already sorted into aluminum, plastic, and paper. 20 points will be given each day for students bringing in recyclables so that at the end of the week a score of 100 will be given as a homework grade.
Each day, the recyclables will be weighed and that info will be entered into the Excel spreadsheet.
Each day, students will visit designated websites and read, view video clips, play interactive games, work puzzles, and/or take quizzes on the web regarding recycling.
