OBJECTIVES

• The student will write, proofread, edit, and deliver a letter to his/her parents regarding the class recycling project.—knowledge, comprehension, synthesis

• The student will identify types of household waste that can be recycled.—knowledge, comprehension, analysis

• The student will investigate and learn about the importance of recycling on the internet.—knowledge, comprehension, analysis

• The student will collect, weigh, and record in a table, recyclable waste including paper, plastic, and aluminum cans.—knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis

• The student will determine (using math functions) and record amount of money that could be collected for the recycling the waste.—knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis

• The student will explain in his/her own words the findings of the class project and why recycling is important to the environment.—knowledge, comprehension, application, synthesis, evaluation
