  3. On the Drawing toolbar near the bottom of the screen, click on the rectangle.  A box will appear in your document stating:  Create your drawing here.  For our purposes, do not create your drawing in this box.  To create a rectangle, click where you want the rectangle to be placed in your document (outside of the "create your drawing here" box) and hold the mouse button down as you drag the rectangle into form (holding the mouse button down as you drag is referred to as click and drag).  The size of the rectangle does not matter because you will resize it when you perform Step 4.

  5. On the Drawing toolbar, click on the green three dimensional cube located to the far right on the toolbar.  A pop up menu will appear with selections of three dimensional figures.  Click on the figure in the bottom left hand corner.  If you hold the mouse over the figure, it will be labeled 3-D Style 17.  Your rectangle in your document should transform into a three dimensional gray colored figure as pictured below.

  1. On the drawing toolbar, click on the rectangle.  To the right side of the three dimensional gray colored figure click and drag to form a rectangle.  Resize the rectangle as you did in Step 4 using Height and Width of 1".
  2. Copy the rectangle by pressing the Ctrl and C key at the same time.
  3. Paste the rectangle once by pressing the Ctrl and V key at the same time.  A copy of the rectangle will appear on top of the original.  Paste the rectangle four more times using Ctrl and V.  Move the individual rectangles to different locations on the page by clicking a dragging them one at a time.  You should have created a document similar to the one you see pictured below.  Save the file.
