Dr. Cooney Receives Academic Fellowship to the Middle East

Dr. Kevin Cooney, Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Union University has just been named to the 2009 Academic Fellows Program of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. This program will take him to the Middle East for 10 days this summer. The program is an intensive 10 day course on terrorism and its threat to democracies. He will be meeting with military, political, intelligence officials, etc. over the course. It was a very competitive application process.
