Department Graduates 7

Posted May 21, 2014

This past Saturday, the Department of Political Science sent seven graduates off into the world.  During their time at Union, they were very active in Student Government, Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature (TISL), fraternities and sororities, debate team, and many other campus and community activities. We wish the following God's richest blessings as they begin this new phase in their lives.

Seth Brake of Denver, NC starred as the captain of Union's award winning debate team for the past year. He plans on working in politics or policy for a few years and then going to graduate school. He will begin his work in politics this fall serving as an intern with the Heritage Foundation.

Haley Dauer of Hendersonville, TN will start Union's accelerated nursing program at the Hendersonville campus this fall.

Taylor Doyle of Clarksville, TN will be working as a substitute teacher in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.

Stefan Rabenhorst of Longview, TX was active in student government and martial arts while at Union.  He wants to combin his interests in politics and martial arts and pursue a career in law enforcement. First, he will work for a year before heading to law school and then, hopefully, the FBI.

Andrew Thomas spent most of his youth as a missionary kid in Guatemala.  He is pursuing a career in law enforcement as he has been accepted into the U.S. Border Patrol. He eventually hopes to pursue a graduate degree in Latin American Affairs.

Luke Trammell of Leesburg, AL was active in student government and rose to be Lt. Governor of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature.  He was accepted into Cumberland (Samford) and the University of Alabama Law School. This Auburn Tiget fan will start law school at the University of Alabama this Fall.

Shea Wingate of Memphis, TN was active in her sorority and recently led Chi Omega to victory in the Variety Show as director of their production. She has a job as Marketing Coordinator for Memphis Reprographics but hopes to eventually go to graduate school for a career in counseling.
