Department Graduates Two this Winter

Posted Dec 20, 2021

This December, Johnna Wade and Joe Gee graduated with degrees in Political Science. Johnna, of Perryville, MO, has a busy December as she will get married the weekend after she graduates. She will marry Tanner Hughes and they will move to Jonesboro, AR. She will work as a college recruiter for Arkansas State. She hopes to teach in the future and be involved in politics. This past summer, she interned with Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) from her homestate of Missouri.

Joe Gee of Horn Lake, MS transferred to Union to play baseball after his sophomore year. He has started the past two seasons. He applied and was accepted to the University of Memphis Law School. However, after further thought, he decided that his real desire is to teach and coach baseball and is now pursuing an MA in Education. After interning with the Borgen Project and substitute teaching, he will teach History at Horn Lake High School. He will also serve as an assistant coach on the baseball team and head coach of the soccer team.
